<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch valve and a suction system which suck sputum generated within the trachea not only occasionally but also continuously. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The switch valve 40 includes: a first port 41 connected to a suction tube for sucking a fluid within the trachea; a second port 42 connected to an occasional suction line; a third port 43 connected to a continuous suction line; first channels (45, 46, and 47) allowing the first port 41 and the second port 42 to communicate with each other; a second channel (45) allowing the first port 41 and a third port 43 to communicate with each other; a valve element 48 which is provided at the first channels (45, 46, and 47), makes the communication between the suction tube and the occasional suction line freely openable and closable, makes the first channels (45, 46, and 47) occasionally opened, and makes the communication with the second channel (45) continuous thereby making the communication opened; and an operation part 49 which operates the valve element part 48 so as to make the communication of the first channel opened.
