PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclination detector that can perform detection with high accuracy, by eliminating detection errors due to temperature change and can dispense with the need for a temperature correction means, and to provide a laser marker which uses the detector. SOLUTION: This inclination detector includes a casing 6; a light source 2 attached to the casing; a reflecting unit 4, that is a member for reflecting a light beam 2 from the light source to a direction different from an optical axis of the light beam and is suspended at a predetermined position in the casing by a suspending member; and a detector 5 for outputting a signal corresponding to a projection position of the light beam.
