The unit has a fuel cell (1) e.g. solid oxide fuel cell, placed in a heat insulation chamber, and a heat source (2) thermally coupled to the cell for rising temperature of the cell, where the heat source comprises a catalytic combustion type radiant burner (20). The chamber is heated by combustion gas (F) from the burner and provided with a radiative shield. A temperature regulation unit (4) controls the temperature of the gas heating the chamber between 200 and 800 degree Celsius. The fuel cell has outputs (12, 13) connected to a cooling channel (72) directed towards a heat exchanger (51). |
