PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device of an air conditioner which prevents dust from falling on a heat exchanger at the time of cleaning an air filter and further prevents the dust containing oil from filtering to the rear side of the air filter. SOLUTION: The filter device comprises a suction nozzle 3 having a movable belt 12 for moving the air filter 1 to right and left and a suction device (not shown in the figure) communicated with the suction nozzle 3. The belt 12 is provided with a suction port 13 for sucking dust on the air filter 1 and a dust removing part 15 close to the suction port 13 for scraping the dust. A dust receiving tray 17 is arranged on a surface facing to the suction port 13 so as to sandwich the air filter 1 at least during dust suction. When the air filter 1 is scratched by the dust removing part 15 near the suction port 13 provided for the suction nozzle 1, the dust is received by the dust receiving tray 17, which can prevent the dust from falling on the heat exchanger (not shown in the figure).
