PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which has an organic layer formed by a wet film-forming method and has high electric current efficiency and a sufficient driving life. SOLUTION: This composition for the organic electroluminescent elements, comprising a dopant material, a host material and a solvent, is characterized in that both the dopant material and the host material are dissolved in toluene in rates of≥2 wt.%, and the molecular lengths of the dopant material and the host material satisfy the following expression (a): (the molecular length of the dopant material)/(the molecular length of the host material)≤1.4 (a).
