<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable wireless information terminal capable of immediately moving to a prescribed upper layer through one time of simple input operation, and screen operating method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The portable wireless information terminal comprises: an instruction input determining means 26 for determining whether an input signal from an input means is an input signal by prescribed instruction input; an operation management means 27 for confirming whether the generated input signal is being continued on the basis of the determination of the instruction input determining means 26, operating an inter-layer moving means 28 if the input signal is being continued, stopping operating the inter-layer moving means 28 when the input signal ends; and the inter-layer moving means 28 for performing inter-layer moving on the basis of a command of the operation management means 27 and for executing screen display within a layer of a destination of moving.
