PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canned linear motor armature for suppressing a temperature gradation of the canned linear motor armature and improving the rigidity of the armature, and to provide the canned linear motor. SOLUTION: The canned linear motor armature includes an armature winding 108 consisting of a plurality of centrally wound coils 118 formed in plane, a casing 101X formed so as to surround the armature winding 108, and a planar can 102 for seating an opening of the casing 101X.
