PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier belt superior in both attraction performance and separation performance of paper, superior in paper feeding accuracy, and superior in cleaning performance, stain resistance and durability. SOLUTION: This carrier belt has an inner layer including a polyimide resin including a conductive substance and an outer layer. In the carrier belt, surface resistivity of the outer layer is higher by one digit or more than surface resistivity of the inner layer, and volume resistivity of the whole carrier belt is a common logarithm value 7-12 (logΩcm).
