PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric component for attaining reduction of the number of components and improvement of an assembling property. SOLUTION: In the rotary electric component 1 having a fixed shaft 2 and a rotary shaft 3 rotatably fitted to the outer periphery of the fixed shaft, the fixed shaft 2 and the rotary shaft 3 are axially connected with each other by making a hook 2c formed on an axial end of the fixed shaft 2 lock in a convex hook socket 3a formed on an inner periphery of the rotary shaft 3. Furthermore, a plurality of legs 2b for being bent with axial slits are formed on the axial end of the fixed shaft 2, and the hook 2c is formed on the pointed head of each leg 2b. Furthermore, a click mechanism for giving click feeling to rotation of the rotary shaft 3 is arranged by making a click ball (click member) 9 urged inward in the radial direction with a coil spring (urging means) 10 selectively connect with a plurality of concave section formed on an outer periphery of the rotary shaft 3.
