<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser marking device capable of improving the workability of marking. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The laser marking device 1 includes, a base 2, a rocking body 3 pendant on the base 2, a laser projector 4 disposed on the rocking body 3, and a damper 5 for braking the rocking of the rocking body 3. The upper body 3A and the lower body 3B of the rocking body 3 are separated into two parts, the one above the other, with an abutting part 39. The braking plate 15 is arranged on the abutting part 39 and held between the upper body 3A and the lower body 3B. Since the clearances between the upper body 3A and the braking plate 15, and the braking plate and the lower body 3B are nothing or very small, the occurrence of the displacement of the braking plate 15 can be prevented when the rocking body 3 is locked.
