<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the start of an unsuitable operation program to prevent misoperation by allowing a control part to surely detect the attached or detached state of a grip of a gas cylinder valve emergency shut-off device to or from a cylinder valve of a gas cylinder without manual operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gas cylinder valve emergency shut-off device includes the grip 7 closing the cylinder valve 9 of the gas cylinder; a rotating shaft for rotating the grip; a drive part for rotationally driving the rotating shaft; and the control part for controlling the operation of the drive part. The grip is provided with an air cylinder 15 and a limit switch 16, and an on-signal or an off-signal is sent to the control part from the limit switch following the advancing/retreating operation of a piston rod 17 of the air cylinder.
