The packaging (1) has a hose-shaped foil, which is closed by a continuous rear seam (6) i.e. reverse seam, where the rear seam runs in a longitudinal direction. The foil is sealed at ends by a cross seam, which runs in a transverse direction (4). The ends lie in a longitudinal direction. An additional seam i.e. overlapping seam (7), is provided for the rear seam and runs in the longitudinal direction. The rear seam is arranged on a rear side (11) of the packaging, and the overlapping seam is arranged on a front side (12) of the packaging. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a tubular bag packaging.
