An acupuncture device for treating a patient comprising an acupuncture needle connected to a holder. The holder is arranged to allow placing and fixating the acupuncture needle at a predefined acupoint on the user's outer ear, for example on an acupoint related to appetite suppression. The device may be used for a long term without displacement of the needle. The device may be placed with a spring loaded forceps, arranged to open and close the span of the holder.
