The invention relates to a method for converting the energy of a primary energy source, such as a gas or a liquid fuel, to secondary mechanical energy, the primary energy source being combusted in a combustion chamber (1) and the energy of the combustion gases determined by the gas pressure and/or the gas temperature being used to generate secondary kinetic energy. In order to improve the efficiency of the method in a constructively simple manner, at least one quasi-tight turbine-type device (8, 14) is used to generate the secondary kinetic energy. |
