Embodiments of the present invention relates to a navigation device (200) comprising: a processor (210); a storage device (230); and a display (240) controllable by the processor (210); wherein the storage device (230) contains parking information indicating, for at least one parking area, an estimated number of parking places available during a plurality of time periods; and the processor (210) is arranged to utilise the parking information to either select a destination location or to display on the display (240) a graphical indication of an estimated likelihood of obtaining a parking place in a parking area.
