The method involves creating a route plan with two routes, and assigning the routes to a transport device and an operator, respectively. Materials are conveyed to an operating site through one of the routes using the transport device. A production sequence to a vehicle to be produced and material requirement of the vehicle are considered by the transport device, for determining the route to convey the materials. A linear program solver for a mixed-integer-linear program is utilized for creating the route plan with the routes, where the program solver uses a simplex method.
