The gear has a lock for closing a differential effect with differential side gears (4) and differential bevel gears (5). Turning lamellas (13) of the lock are in non-rotatable connection with the differential side gears, and an actuating piston (7) is provided for actuation of the lock. The differential bevel gears are arranged between the actuating piston and the lamellas. A movement of the piston is transferred to the lamellas over a pin (12) during operation of the lock. A spring (15) is arranged within the pin, and a differential cage (2) is provided with an opening.
