Pigment-free, aqueous polymer dispersion marked with fluorescent dyes, having a viscosity of from 500 to 900 mPa·s, determined with the aid of the Brookfield method (spindle 3, 23° C.), and comprising, based in each case on the solids of the polymer dispersion, (A) from 1 to 99% by weight of at least one type of water-soluble and/or water-dispersible polymer, (B) from 1 to 20% by weight of at least one type of water-dispersible polymer particles which comprise at least one fluorescent dye and (C) from 0.001 to 3% by weight of at least one thickener; process for its preparation and its use.
