Disclosed is a catalyst separation system which is provided with: a reaction container in which hydrocarbon is synthesized by a chemical reaction between a synthesis gas, which is mainly composed of a carbon monoxide gas and a hydrogen gas, and a catalyst slurry which is obtained by suspending solid catalyst particles in a liquid; a filter for separating the hydrocarbon from the catalyst slurry; and a gas-liquid separator for separating the liquid hydrocarbon discharged from the filter into gaseous hydrocarbon and liquid hydrocarbon.
