ANESTHETIC COMPOUND NEEDLE

An anesthetic compound needle which can be, without rotation of an inner needle and with simple operation, switched between an unlocked state in which the inner needle can be advanced and retracted relative to an outer needle and a locked state in which the inner needle is not able to be advanced and retracted. The front part of an inner needle base end section having a tubular shape and provided to the base end of an inner needle is mounted to the rear end section of a tubular adaptor, an outer needle base end section having a tubular shape and provided to the base end of an outer needle is inserted from the front end of the adaptor, and the tip of the inner needle is protruded from the tip of the outer needle. Circumferential grooves are parallelly arranged in the lower surface of the outer needle base end section. A restricting plate having an insertion hole into which the outer needle base end section is inserted from an opening formed in the upper surface of the adaptor. On the lower surface of the insertion hole is provided a projection projecting upward and engaging with the grooves in the outer needle base end section. When the restricting plate is pushed down, the engagement between the projection on the restricting plate and the grooves in the outer needle base end section is released to set the compound needle to the unlocked state in which the inner needle can be advanced and retracted relative to the outer needle, and when the restricting plate is released from the pushed-down position, the restricting plate rises to cause the grooves in the outer needle base end section and the projection on the restricting plate to engage with each other to set the compound needle to the locked state.
