The invention is directed to a toothbrush head (4) with a bristle support (6) to which a plurality of preferably tuft-shaped cleaning elements (8) are affixed, said bristle support (6) including at least one movable rocker (10, 11) having a first end (13) attached to it on the side remote from a handpiece-side end of the toothbrush head (4) and having a free second end (14) which is on the side close to the handpiece-side end of the toothbrush head (4), said rocker (10, 11) carrying at least one row of cleaning elements (8). The invention relates in addition to a preferably manual toothbrush having such a toothbrush head (4). According to the invention, at least the cleaning elements (8) arranged on the rocker (10, 11) furthest from a longitudinal center plane (14) of the toothbrush head (4) have their free ends (14) inwardly tilted towards said longitudinal center plane (15) at an acute angle.
