The center has a workpiece changer (37) for moving workpieces and/or workpiece pallets (31, 32) between a mounting table (30) outside of the center and a non horizontal moveable workpiece table (22) of the center. The workpiece changer has a double gripper (26) that is swivelable around a vertical axis and is linearly movable in a level lying perpendicular to the axis. The mounting table is arranged on a rear side of the processing center outside a swiveling area of the gripper. The gripper is moveable via a linear guiding device, which is designed as a two-way telescopic slide out (36).
