The device (1) has a dewing prevention unit (7) for preventing generation of dew on a covering plate (5). A housing (2) is covered by the covering plate in an emission direction (A) of the device, where a reflector (3) and a lamp (4) are accommodated in the housing. The dewing prevention unit is provided with a heat-storing material (8) i.e. paraffin, and is subject to a preset temperature range of chemical and/or physical conversion. The heat-storing material is subject to a dewing-critical temperature range of solid to liquid or liquid to solid phase transformation of the material.
