The method involves transmitting an address part-request from a portable radio device to an address part-request receiving router via a portable radio tester. An address part (2) i.e. internet protocol version six (IPv6)-prefix, generated by the router is transmitted to the portable radio device. The address part is received via the portable radio tester. Another address part request is transmitted to the portable radio tester. Another address part (3) i.e. IPv6-postfix, generated by the portable radio tester is transmitted to the portable radio device. An independent claim is also included for a portable radio tester comprising two communication devices, a data generator and a memory.
