The method involves assigning a radio device (6) to an area exhibiting traffic signs (3, 4), where the radio device radiates a signal for receiving by an evaluation unit. Position and content e.g. maximally permitted speed, of the traffic signs are determined based on the signal radiated by the radio device and received by the evaluation unit. An additional area is delimited against the area. Another traffic sign (5) and another radio device (7) are assigned to the additional area. The evaluation unit is arranged in a motor vehicle (1) i.e. car. An independent claim is also included for a method for supporting or partial-automatic implementation of driving operation of a motor vehicle.
