A method for manufacturing a lithium ion battery is provided, which includes steps of packaging at least one hollow pipe (5) on a package bag (2) of the battery, and vacuumizing the battery through the hollow pipe (5). A package bag (2) of the lithium ion battery is also provided, wherein the hollow pipe (5) is arranged at side edge (4) of the package bag (2) for vacuumizing in battery manufacturing process. The method can be used to manufacture soft packed lithium ion batteries with different sizes, shapes and capacities, has simple process and production equipment, and is favorable to improve battery performance. |
