Disclosed is an immunological assay method whereby considerable shortening of the measurement time and high sensitivity at least one order of magnitude greater than that of the conventional method can be achieved, while exploiting the advantages of immunological assay methods, namely ease of the measurement operation, high accuracy and low costs. Also disclosed is an inspection disc capable of being used therein. Disclosed are: a competitive immunological assay method in which an antigen is immobilised on micro-beads and the size (volume) of a micro-chamber constituting the reaction field and the total volume of the micro-beads that are maintained in the micro-chamber are kept in a fixed range; and an inspection disc used in this method.
