<p>Present invention relates to an assembly for laying a string of pipe, said string of pipe comprising a plurality of joined pipe sections (13a, 13b), said assembly comprising a pipe support structure (2) adapted to pivot about a pivot axis (17), a linear winch (3), such as a tensioner, and further comprising a pipe section lifting means (7) adapted to provide new pipe sections (13b) to be joined to the string of pipe.
