The metallic heating panel 1 includes a serpentine conduit 2, wherein the conduit defines a water flow path that passes through the panel, the conduit having an inlet 3 and an outlet 4 that are disposed, in use, on a lower portion of the panel. The panel may be formed from two sheet metal plates having cooperating serpentine depressions, wherein the two plates are welded together to form the panel with the cooperating serpentine depressions forming the serpentine conduit. The panel may include convection fins 5, air bleed valves 6 and hanging brackets 8 to attach the panel to a wall. A covering plate 7 may be provided on the panel to hide the conduit 2 from view. The panel is advantageous over conventional radiators in that the serpentine conduit limits build-up of sludge, thereby ensuring efficient circulation of water throughout the panel. The panel may be of circular or oval shape. |
