Compensation for the modulation level dependence of a noise limiter for digital high frequency receivers

The muting has an amplitude processing unit, which compares momentary amplitude of a digital base band signal with a parameter or a relationship of the momentary amplitude and determines the parameter. An audio muting unit is mutely switched to an audio exit of the high frequency receiver in dependence of the parameter and the momentary amplitude. An independent claim is included for a method for intoxication blockage in digital high frequency receivers.
