The invention relates to compositions containing a first compound having TGF-ß1 inhibitory activity and a second compound in the form of an immune-stimulating cytokine, preferably IL-12 or a functionally equivalent variant of same. Said compositions demonstrate synergistic effects on antitumour properties when compared to components acting separately. The invention also relates to compositions containing the aforementioned compounds and to the medical use of same for the treatment of cancer, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma and gastrointestinal tumours.
