<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent complex and a lighting device which have high brightness and long lives. <P>SOLUTION: This fluorescent complex is characterized in that the hydrogen atom of a methylene portion at a place nipped with the two carbonyl groups of a β-diketone is replaced by an optical center-having substituent.
