Drive unit for cable window regulator

The unit (1) has a gear mechanism i.e. drive worm, that is coupled to a rotatably mounted cable drum for winding and unwinding a cable of a cable window lifter. The drum is coupled to a worm wheel (10) received in a cylindrical housing section (6). A sealing unit (30) is rotationally and fixedly set either on an upper circumferential edge of the wheel or on an upper edge (29) of the section. The sealing unit bridges an annular gap between the wheel upper circumferential edge and the housing section upper edge to seal a space of the wheel against a space of the housing section.
