PURPOSE: A firmware renewal server and a mobile communications terminal about the firmware renewal providing method and a firmware renewal method and a mobile communication terminal are provided to minimize the discomfort of a mobile communications terminal user. CONSTITUTION: A server transmission unit(103) transmits a locked state acknowledgement request toward a subscriber identity module of the mobile communications terminal. A receiver receives a message the response about the locked state acknowledgement request from the mobile communications terminal. A controller controls the progressing of the firmware renewal based on a response about the locked state acknowledgement request. The receiver receives the locked state acknowledgement request about the subscriber identity module from a server.
