PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling the TCP connection of a server are provided to monitor an Ethernet link state in TCP connection and use a connection time counter for the monitoring of a TCP connection state in order to cope with an abnormal state in a server. CONSTITUTION: An MAC controller(120) controls the transmission and reception of TCP communication data through an Ethernet network connected to a client(300), and a controller(110) counts the connection time with a client and allows the connection by generating a client socket when the client request the connection. In addition, the controller terminates the connection after deleting the client socket if there is not data request from the client for a certain time.
