PURPOSE: A vehicle seat having a shelf for preventing falling articles is provided to selectively open and close an interval between the seat and a door and thus prevent articles falling through the interval. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle seat having a shelf for preventing falling articles comprises a controller(110) and a driving unit(130). The driving unit is operated with the controller to open and close an interval between a seat and a door in a vehicle and includes an actuator(132a) and a moving member(132b). The actuator is located in an end portion of the seat adjacent to the vehicle door. The moving member is connected to the actuator and reciprocates in the width direction of an interval between the seat and the door.
