PURPOSE: A hydraulic control apparatus and a method thereof for down shifting of an engine throttle linked method vehicle are provided to remove the run up transmission shock occurred b the difference of turbine speed and the engine speed by implementing the oil pressure control during kick down shift transmission. CONSTITUTION: An engine control unit transfers the rotation power to a wheel(101). A position sensor for an accelerator outputs the APS(Accelerator Position Sensor) by converting the detected position of a pedal into the electrical signal. A transmission control unit calculates the turbine rotation number and the engine rotation number during kick down shift according to the APS signal.
