Method for acquiring information of reception signal strength and base station for providing thereof in wireless communication system

PURPOSE: A method for obtaining RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) information in a wireless communication system and a base station thereof are provided to predict an RSSI using given information, thereby removing a need of a separate wireless resource for the RSSI. CONSTITUTION: Uplink transmission power information and CQI(Channel Quality Information) are received from a mobile station(S210). A path loss value is calculated in consideration of the uplink transmission power information(S230). The RSSI of the mobile station is predicted from the path loss value and base station transmitting power(S240).
