PURPOSE: An image forming device is provided to protect a detection part from a cheap configuration. CONSTITUTION: An image forming deice moves a blocking part(2b) to blocking position from a detection permission position by interlinking movement of a medium contact part(3c) which moves form a entry position to a medium contact position. The image forming device moves the blocking part to the detection permission position form the blocking position by interlinking movement of the medium contact part which moves from the medium contact position to the entry position.
