The device (1) has a fixing unit i.e. oblong shaped base plate (2), immobilized in a locking position on an opening element (5) or a fixed element (6) by locking a rotation inside a housing (51) arranged in the opening or fixed elements, where the unit is fixed to one of the opening and fixed elements. A retaining unit e.g. arm (3), and a hook forming member (4) is integrated to the fixing unit and cooperates with one of the opening and fixed elements when the fixing unit is in the locking position, where a branch (40) of the hook forming member is elastically deformable. The fixing unit and the retaining unit are formed of a plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a method for temporary closing an opening element on a fixed element.
