HEATING APPARATUS FOR POLARIZATION REVERSAL OF NONLINEAR OPTICAL CRYSTAL SUBSTRATE AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A heating apparatus for polarization reversal of a nonlinear optical crystal substrate and a method thereof is provided to minimize damage to a substrate by maintaining the temperature of a substrate constant and reducing an applying voltage. CONSTITUTION: A first jig frame(10a) and a second jig frame(10b) holds the first and a second side of a non-linear optical crystal substrate. A first thermal plate(12a) and a second thermal plate(12b) are installed in the first jig frame and the second jig frame and heat the substrate. A thermostat(17) is installed the first and second jig frame. A heating bath(18) contains the first and second jig frame while being mounted in the substrate.
