PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator for cosmetics in which brush bristles do not unravel when attaching/removing a cap. SOLUTION: The applicator 1 includes an applicator body 4 including a brush hold part 18 for holding a brush 2 at a front end and a cylindrical cap 6 which is attached to/detached from the applicator body 4 by means of threads 3 and 5. The cap 6 includes an application liquid storage part 7 for storing application liquid inside, and a cylindrical guide member 9 which is rotatably provided inside the cap 6 and provided with a tapered inner surface 8 for guiding movement of the front end part of the brush 2, and a wiper member 11 integrally provided with the guide member 9. The brush hold part 18 of the application body 4 and the guide member 9 of the cap 6 are provided with an engaging part so that it is free in the insertion direction of the applicator body 4 and in association with the rotation direction.
