Provided is an array substrate which comprises a plurality of scanning signal lines (16 · 16j) and a plurality of data signal lines (15x · 15y · 15X · 15Y) through which data signals are supplied, wherein a plurality of pixel areas are included in each of adjacent first and second pixel area arrays and two data signal lines are provided for each of the first and second pixel area arrays. An intermediate wiring (41) through which a Vcom signal is supplied is provided between the two adjacent data signal lines (15y · 15X) one of which is provided corresponding to the first pixel area array and the other is provided corresponding to the second pixel area array. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the display definition of a liquid crystal display device in which a plurality of data signal lines are provided corresponding to one pixel array.
