<p>Aspects are disclosed for self-configuring an access point via a backhaul connection. A backhaul connection is established between an access point base station and a neighboring base station. Information associated with an external neighbor parameter is then received via the backhaul connection, and an internal neighbor parameter is self-configured based on the external neighbor parameter.</p>
