<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly elastic and transparent thermoplastic polyurethane having heat resistance, chemical resistance, and impact resistance and a method for producing such a thermoplastic polyurethane. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoplastic polyurethane is produced by blending a polyurethane reaction product with 3-20 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyurethane based on 100 pts.wt. of total blend. The polyurethane reaction product is prepared from a diphenylmethane diisocyanate and at least one chain extender at an NCO/OH ratio of from 0.95:1 to 1.10:1 in the absence of any isocyanate-reactive composition having a molecular weight greater than 400. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
