<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent work required for identifying a malfunction point in an onboard communication network system from being complicated and to accurately detect the malfunction point. <P>SOLUTION: In the onboard communication network system 10, a plurality of buses 12 to which a plurality of onboard electronic control devices 13 are connected are interconnected via a gateway 11, the gateway 11 outputs an answer request signal to the plurality of onboard electronic control devices 13 in response to a connection acknowledgment request signal output by a given operation from a communication-enabled external diagnostic device 14, the in-car electronic control device 13 outputs an answer signal having transmitter identifier data specific to the reception of the answer request signal output from the gateway 11 for each of the connected buses 12, and the gateway 11 outputs the transmitter identifier data included in the answer signal output from the onboard electronic control devices 13 or predetermined data associated with the transmitter identifier data to the external diagnostic device 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
