<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sublimation type printer that makes a dot print processing mark on a surface inconspicuous, thereby improving the quality of a print on the surface, and furthermore, prevents variation in the density of a print on a back, which results from a dot print process. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sublimation type printer 1 includes a surface printing section 3 for performing a sublimation print process on the surface of the paper S, and a back printing section 4 for performing the dot print process on the back of paper S. In this printer 1, a dot print power supply time, which is the time for which a dot pin 41a is pressed against the back of the paper S is the one in which a basal power supply time, which is a power supply time that should be essentially ensured, is corrected by a first correcting power supply time determined based on the density of an image printed on the surface of the paper S by the surface printing section 3 and a second correcting power supply time determined based on the temperature of the periphery of the back printing section 4.
