<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deviation of a main scan direction position of light emitting elements among light exposure devices by a simpler configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a plurality of light emitting chips C provided on a substrate. The light emitting chips C constitute an LED print head arranged in each image forming part. The image forming apparatus includes light emitting thyristors L1-L256 controlled as to emission/non emission by a light emitting signal ϕI, transfer thyristors T1-T256 which are set respectively correspondingly to the light emitting thyristors L1-L256 and bring the corresponding light emitting thyristors to a state to be able to emit the light when being set in an on state, a light emitting thyristor for heating Lh controlled as to heating/non heating by the light emitting signal ϕI, and a transfer thyristor for heating Th which is set correspondingly to the light emitting thyristor for heating Lh and brings the light emitting thyristor for heating Lh in a heatable state by being set in an on state earlier than the transfer thyristors T1-T256, thereby restricting the thyristors not to become an on state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
