<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power consumption reducing device for a vehicle, reducing consumption of a battery during parking for a long time, in relation to a system for achieving a function fixed in advance in the vehicle by detecting approaching of a user or a driver to the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A portable communication terminal carried by the user transmits positional information to an onboard device, based on a positional information transmission request received from the onboard device. The onboard device mounted on the vehicle suppresses power supply to a function control unit for controlling execution of the function fixed in advance in the vehicle, based on the detection of the approaching of the user to the vehicle, when a distance between the position of the portable communication terminal and a present position of the vehicle during parking calculated based on the positional information on the portable communication terminal transmitted from the portable communication terminal and the present position of the vehicle is more than a threshold fixed in advance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
