<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which prevents an IC tag and an antenna embedded in a printing medium from being cut with a cutter, and to provide a control method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus prints an image on the printing medium on the basis of image data. The image forming apparatus includes an IC tag position discerning means which discerns a position of the IC tag embedded in the printing medium, an image position determining means which determines an image forming position on the printing medium so that the position of the IC tag discerned by the IC tag position discerning means does not agree with a cutting position, and a printing medium cutting means which cuts the printing medium on the basis of the image forming position determined by the image position determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
